It’s that time of the year to start planning for Thanksgiving! Thanksgiving is all about spending time with family and friends while gathered around a table covered in yummy fattening food. Along with planning the menu (as if that’s not enough), you need to plan the decor. So I’ve gathered a list of cheap and easy DIY Thanksgiving holiday decor ideas to help you get inspired!
Tablescapes With Ambers and Natural Tones
Natural tones such as Amber-colored glassware or warm-colored vintage impression glasses go hand in hand with the changing leaves and warm feel Thanksgiving brings.
Add a few earth-toned accent pillows, and some gathered foliage or garland for a centerpiece and you’re done.
Holiday Banners
A holiday banner saying something like”Happy Thanksgiving” or “Give Thanks” is an easy DIY. Quickly make one with some craft paper, string and some scissors. Make a big statement by hanging over a fireplace, table setting or bare wall.
Bar Cart With A Specialty Cocktail
Place a small bar cart in a corner with a specialty holiday cocktail. That way wandering guests keep their cups filled and you can focus on getting the dinner ready.
Individualized Place Cards
Individualized place cards don’t have to be intricate or expensive and they add a touch of elegance to your holiday decor.
Collect some pinecones or leaves from around the house and grab some simple tags from the Dollar Store.
Or put down some brown craft paper and write their name in cursive directly on it. Then you’ve created personalized seating and a table runner all in one!

Make a garland with just a few oranges, some thread, and some decorative ribbon. It’s an inexpensive way to create a beautiful garland that can be used as a centerpiece, or hung. Adding a fresh and bright element to the space.
